*Update*
New version, updated the snake so it's less blurry - I think it looks better now.

Hope you enjoy!

I can't decide how I feel about this one.  This is my second picture and it took a little under a month to complete (which I think is pretty good, considering that the first one took six months, and it's summer so my kids are home all day, every day).  I've been in love with this picture through-out the process of creating it, but here at the end I still feel like it's..."not right".  I think I need more experience with post-work, it seems like the picture is not "stylized" enough, but whenever I try to do anything else, I feel like the face gets washed out/distorted and the whole thing just becomes a big blur.

Also, I have been thinking the snake is too bright.  Originally, I wanted it to be bright (sort of ethereal), but instead of looking glowy and supernatural - I'm worried it looks like a big white blur - but my family seems to think it's great, and I've been staring at it for so long, I can't even tell anymore.

To be honest, I'm just not sure what it is about this one that I'm not quite right, so I thought I'd go ahead and put it up and see if anyone had any constructive advice!

Please let me know what you think!  I hope you enjoy.

Very nice. Feels like it's a bit dark. Besides the lighting on the girl, all the values are the same so the foreground, mid, and background kinda of all blur together without real definition. Snake could use some shadows to give it some form (even if it's ethereal). I would suggest making it seem a bit more transparent or even make it feel like fog? to give it a spirit-esque feel. The lights hanging from the roof also are too dark. They blend right into the trees. I feel like a light source wasn't properly established c: This could be worked out in a thumbnail before starting out the whole version.
